Instructions for Authors

All manuscripts undergo a rapid double-blind peer-review process. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.

Authors are requested to align the manuscripts according to the following format:

Manuscript Types

1. Research Article

Word Limit: Up to 2,500 words (excluding abstract and references).

Structure:

6. Letter to the Editor

Word Limit: 800–1,000 words.

General Formatting Requirements

  • Language: English (British or US)
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 pt (Text), 14 pt (Headings)
  • Margins: 2 cm on all sides
  • Line Spacing: Double-spaced
  • Scientific names must be italicized

References

  • References must be numbered in order of appearance.
  • All references must follow Vancouver style.
  • In-text citations must appear as numbers in brackets [1] after the full stop of the sentence.

Important Notes

  • Authors must confirm that animal and human studies comply with institutional ethical standards.
  • Authors must declare that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere.
  • Galley proofs will be sent to the corresponding author.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the published content.

Tables and Figures Numbering

Tables

  • Tables must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals in the order they are first mentioned in the text (Table 1, Table 2, Table 3, etc.).
  • Each table must have a clear and concise title placed above the table.
  • Tables and Figures must be cited in the text as: Table 1, Table 2, etc.
  • Tables must be submitted in editable text format and not as images.
  • Explanatory notes, abbreviations, and statistical indicators should appear below the table as footnotes.

Figures

  • Figures must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals in the order they are cited in the text (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc.).
  • Each figure must include a descriptive caption placed below the figure.
  • Figures must be cited in the text as: Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.
  • Subfigures should be labeled (A), (B), (C), etc., and clearly explained in the caption.
  • Minimum image resolution: 300 dpi.
  • Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIF.

Important Numbering Note

Important: Table and Figure numbering is completely separate from reference numbering. References must follow Vancouver style and appear as in-text citations in brackets [1] after the full stop of the sentence. Table 1 and Figure 1 numbering must not be confused with reference numbers [1].

  • Example (Reference citation): The results were statistically significant.[1]
  • Example (Table citation): The baseline characteristics are shown in Table 1.
  • Example (Figure citation): The workflow is illustrated in Figure 2.
